Some stats from the trip:
11 families = Moris-5, Hodges-6, Pinners-5, Youtseys-5, Halls-5, Angelinis-5, Howdens-5, Stovalls-5, Sneads-4, John(EY's friend)-6, Bernards-6.
Total: 57
35 kids all 7 and under.

Location: Bass Lake, CA
Temp: 90+
Water Temp: 75+
Campsite: Acorn Group Site
When: Sunday 7/19-23(5 days)
Pros: Nice site, warm water, close beach, close to Yosemite, flushable toilets, great fire pit, easy drive, not crowded!, nice general store near by, shallow lake,
Cons: HOT!, Yellow jackets, lots of boat traffic on the water, water was murky, Site was on a slight slant, only community picnic tables!

We had a great time! The kids enjoyed the lake and we enjoyed going to Yosemite on Tuesday. Youtseys did a great job organizing! We're looking forward to next year for sure.

DSCN1745.JPGHe is 4 now!

Loves Pirates and loves to draw!
His best friend is Johnny Pinner.
His favorite food is any sauce like ketchup.

We had a birthday party for him on Sunday, July 26th.
Jill got a water slide but he never went down the slide from the very top.
He was also mad at Jill because she invited 4 girls(Julia, Ellie, Sarah, Taylor) to the party. He only approved up to 3!
Of course the theme of the party was "Pirates"!

We're excited that Jen, Maher and Aliya have moved to Rancho Cucamonga, CA!

I'm also exited that they live very close to a Bass Pro Shop!

Trail of 100 Giants

Over the weekend we went camping in the Sequoia National Monument. It's just south of the more famous Sequoia National Forest. We camped at Quaking Aspen campground for 3 days! Kids had a great time!

On saturday we drove to the Trail of a Hundred Giants!

Trail of a Hundred Giants is located within the Long Meadow Giant Sequoia Grove, the second most southern grove where giant sequoias are found. The Grove contains 125 giant sequoias over 10 feet in diameter and 143 sequoias under 10 feet in diameter. The largest tree in the grove has a diameter of 20 feet and is 220 feet in height. The grove encompasses 355 acres. It is estimated the age of the trees in the grove are between 500 to 1,500 years old.
